The award-winning series exposed the proposed destruction of nine buildings with historical, cultural and architectural design significance. It also recognized the importance of building a facility that would have destroyed those buildings. And it outlined a possible resolution that addressed the needs of both sides in what was part of a ongoing, decades-long debate.
